On June 21, 2024, the Canadian Underground Infrastructure Innovation Centre (CUIIC) proudly recognize National Indigenous Peoples Day across Canada. This important day celebrates the rich cultures, traditions, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples. As an underground infrastructure centre, we thank Indigenous communities for their stewardship of the land, which we are privileged to work on. It is a time to honour the history and diversity of Indigenous communities and to reflect on the ongoing journey towards reconciliation and mutual respect.
Join CUIIC in celebrating the vibrant cultures and remarkable achievements of Indigenous peoples across Canada. Together, let’s foster a deeper understanding and appreciation for their vital role in shaping our shared history and future.
