About Michels Canada:
Michels Canada delivers construction solutions to enhance Canada’s energy, electrical power, water, and wastewater infrastructure. Our capabilities span from relining deteriorating sewer and water mains and utility maintenance holes in expanding metropolitan areas, to building tunnels for wastewater treatment plants under the most densely populated regions of Canada. We construct reliable pipelines and underground river crossings for the critical growing energy sector. Michels Canada is well equipped to mobilize equipment and personnel to projects in highly urban and very remote locations across Canada. We are experienced with joint venture partnerships and Bid-Build (BB), Design-Bid-Build (DBB), and Public-Private Partnership (P3) delivery methods.

About CUIIC:
The Canadian Underground Infrastructure Innovation Centre (CUIIC) was established in 2022. CUIIC is a cross-Canada initiative located at the University of Alberta. We have partners at the University of Waterloo and members across Canada. CUIIC focuses on providing stakeholders with opportunities to collaborate on research and training opportunities in underground infrastructure. Together, we foster innovation to provide cost-effective, sustainable solutions to the challenges involved in building, assessing, and rehabilitating underground infrastructure.
