Dani will present on the use of Geotechnical Data Reports (GDRs) and Geotechnical Baseline Reports (GBRs) in underground projects, highlighting the key differences between the two documents and the information each should contain. The presentation will cover the evolution of the GBR and the underlying philosophy behind its development. Dani will also emphasize the importance of a well‑written GBR with clear, measurable baselines, including examples of both well and poorly written baselines.

About the Speaker
Dani Delaloye
North America Tunnel Practice Lead, Mott MacDonald
Dani is the North American Tunnel Practice Lead, and a Principal Engineer and Project Manager with Mott MacDonald, managing and leading the delivery for projects varying in complexity: from small trenchless jobs to large-scale multidisciplinary transit projects. Her technical expertise ranges from planning and leading fieldwork assignments, through technical design and coordination, to site condition surveys and inspections. She has worked on a broad range of tunnelling, underground, and trenchless projects from pre-feasibility to detailed design phases, through to construction oversight. She completed her Geological Engineering Master’s Degree with a specialization in geotechnical and geomechanical engineering and a focus on underground construction. She has worked across sectors, including transportation, mining, water and wastewater, and energy projects.
